April 22, 2010

EESF to Host 4th Annual Chicago Cruise

March 19, 2010 - The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF) will host the 4th Annual Chicago Cruise aboard the Summer of George on Lake Michigan on Wednesday, June 23, 2010.

Attendees will enjoy the view of Chicago’s skyline as the sun sets on Lake Michigan as well as dancing and entertainment.  The cruise will conclude with fireworks – a pleasant ending to an evening of camaraderie and fellowship.

2009 Committee members present EESF a “check” onboard.  L to R: Cornelius Walls, Tom Sybert, Mike Ryan, Ed Chmielewski and Barbara Allen.

Cruise check-in will begin at 6:30 p.m. with boarding at 7:00 p.m.  There will be food, an open bar and a DJ on the top deck.  This is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow Chicagoans as well as a nice way to say thank you to your customers.  Sponsorship opportunities are available.  For details on sponsorships and registration information, please visit www.EESF.org/Events.

The Chicago Cruise committee hopes to continue the success of last year’s event.  The committee of Chicago elevator industry supporters includes Ed Chmielewski, Anderson Elevator Company (chairman); Tom Sybert, C. J. Anderson & Company and Cornelius Walls, Formula Systems North America.

The 2009 event was attended by 116 guests and raised almost $16,000 to further EESF’s mission to educate the public on the safe and proper use of elevators, escalators and moving walks through informational programs.  Proceeds benefited over 56,000 children.

Be sure to purchase your tickets on or before May 28th to receive the discount rate of $110 per person.  The price will increase to $125 after the deadline.  Sponsors will receive admission tickets as part of their sponsorship.

For more details regarding tickets, sponsorship or general information about the cruise, please visit www.EESF.org/Events.
