No January 2012 CEA Meeting, No 2012 Educational Program

December 27, 2011

I hope that everyone had a nice holiday. A couple of notes that we wanted you to  be aware of.

First, there will be no January Chicago Elevator Association meeting.

Second, the Chicago Elevator Association in 2012 will not be hosting an educational seminar as we’ve done in the past. The reason for this is because NAESA International will be hosting the 2012 Central Region Spring workshop March 16-17th, in Des Plaines Illinois.

We recommend you sign up today for the event and want to make sure you don’t miss it. This will be the best and closest opportunity for you to get your continuing education credits if you’re in the Chicagoland area.

On behalf of the officers of the CEA, have a safe and Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing you in February, when Steve Romnes from VMI will be presenting.

Sincerely,
Tom Sybert, Kevin Ryan, Tom Przybyla

2011 – CEA Golf Outing Great Success

August 17, 2011

The Chicago Elevator Association (CEA) held their annual golf outing at the Gleneagles Country Club to benefit the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF). The event had a perfect day for the outing with plenty of sunshine for the golfers. All of the attendees were winners at this year’s charity event. A delicious dinner was provided to the attendees following the outing. The world class raffle with the industries finest prizes kept all the attendees in smiles.

The charity event also had a 50/50 drawing for the EESF. The CEA would like to Thank Brad Hunt of the Peelle Company and Ken Grohowski of C.E. Electronics for helping with the collection of $1,635.00 dollars for the drawing.

The golf outing was successful only due to the support of the events sponsors. We wish to say Thank You.

Educational Session – Tentative Scheduled for First Week In May – 2011

The Chicago Elevator Association is planning to again hold a continuing education program in May as we have in the past.  The general question for you that we need help with is determining how many hours we should hold the class. While the state of Illinois requires 2 hours, many of you need the .8 Continuing Educational Units to complete your QEI recertification. It would be helpful to figure out if you would prefer a shorter educational program of perhaps half a day or if you’d like a full day we’d love to hear from you.

We hope to see you on Thursday night! Drive safely, keep warm and think Spring!

Sincerely,

Tom Sybert -(President)
Kevin Ryan-(Vice President)
Tom Przybyla-(Sec/Treasurer)
