Some Very Important News Regarding February’s CEA Meeting – Held Thursday February 7th, 2008

The NAEC (National Association of Elevator Contractors) Education Committee has approved the CEA Continuing Education Application for the EMS Freight Door Installation session that will be presented at the February meeting at a value of .75 contact hours for CET.

I would like to thank CEA President, Gary Schreiber for processing the application so quickly and Patti Bonner, Educational Manager for the NAEC, for her help in preparing the applications and getting them approved!

We are also in the process of getting the presentations for both March and April approved as well! If you need CET Credits make sure you attend the meetings as they are an excellent opportunity to do so. Those who are in attendance for the meeting will receive a certificate which can be picked up at the March CEA meeting!

See you Thursday February 7th

January 3rd Meeting Summary

The first meeting in January each year is one that is difficult for many to get two.  Thanks to everyone who came out on this cold evening, especially those who came in from out of town! The meeting started out with introductions and followed with committee reports. We again discussed getting more CET education programs into our schedule which we feel would benefit many contractor members of the CEA. The consensus was that we would continue with our current programs and when the opportunity presents it self we would insert speakers that have CET approved programs.

Some of the topics that some of the contractor members would like hear about included, safety topics including, OSHA as well as adjusting and troubleshooting type technical seminars on different types of elevator equipment.

Please take the time today to send us an e-mail on topics/presentations you’d like to see and hear about! Thanks for your participation.

The next meeting date is Thursday February 7th, 2008! Mark your schedules now!
