2011 – CEA Golf Outing Great Success

The Chicago Elevator Association (CEA) held their annual golf outing at the Gleneagles Country Club to benefit the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF). The event had a perfect day for the outing with plenty of sunshine for the golfers. All of the attendees were winners at this year’s charity event. A delicious dinner was provided to the attendees following the outing. The world class raffle with the industries finest prizes kept all the attendees in smiles.

The charity event also had a 50/50 drawing for the EESF. The CEA would like to Thank Brad Hunt of the Peelle Company and Ken Grohowski of C.E. Electronics for helping with the collection of $1,635.00 dollars for the drawing.

The golf outing was successful only due to the support of the events sponsors. We wish to say Thank You.

CEA Educational Seminar Certificates Have Been E-mailed Out

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2011 CEA Educational Program on April 6th! Everyone who attended was e-mailed a certificate of completion on Friday April 15th.  If for some reason you did not receive your copy please send me a direct e-mail to tom.sybert@cjanderson.com and note that you did not get your copy.

Last year we had a few attendees with pretty aggressive spam filters that would not permit the attachment to go through. We do have all certificates on file for anyone whom might misplace theirs in the future.

It is your responsibility to send a copy to whomever you are re certifying with, i.e. the state you reside in,  EIWPF, NAESA, QEI Services.

Thanks to Dick Gregory for sharing his knowledge once again. There was a lot to talk about and a lot covered.

Tom Sybert
President – Chicago Elevator Association

No April Meeting

Because of the 8 Hour Code Update Seminar which was given yesterday April 6th, there is no regular CEA Meeting today, April 7th. The next scheduled meeting will be Thursday May 5th at Angelo’s in Elmhurst. Mark Ortman from Ortman drilling will be providing a presentation on hole drilling.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. We had 78 people attend which was a great turn out.

See you all next month

Tom Sybert – President – CEA
