What a great time we had despite colder temperatures and a fog bank that lifted just in time to enjoy the dinner cruise on Lake Michigan this past Wednesday. With close to 150 elevator industry members on board this event was a huge success. The Spirit of Chicago provide a nice upgrade from boat we’ve been holding this event on in the past and the food was excellent. On behalf of the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation; Ed, Corn and myself can’t say it enough, thank you for helping make this event a success once again. – Tom S

CEA May Meeting Recap
Thanks to everyone who came out for the meeting at Champps in Lombard on May 1st. Attendance was a packed house for this event, which made it a very enjoyable evening for all the members
There was a presentation given by Dotty Stanlaske, Executive Director of National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities International from Turnwater Washington.
The topic was on the NAESA Qualified Elevator Inspector programs and certification. Dotty’s insight on the new Certification process, and the programs knowledge, were appreciated by all the members in attendance. Everyone left this meeting with a clearer understanding of how NAESA’s certification program is progressing.
The Code committee reported on the status of the State of Illinois, and the City of Chicago and it was very nice to hear the positive outlook from the past couple months..
September’s meeting CE Electronic – Acoustics Division will be presenting on their new elevator equipment. You don’t want to miss this presentation.
Mark your calendars for the next meeting on September 4th at the Tuscano’s in Schiller Park.

The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation appreciates the support from everyone who supports this event. This is also a great opportunity for the Midwest elevator market to give back to the EESF and have a great time while doing so.
