CEA Website 2013 In Review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,700 times in 2013. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.

CEA Christmas Party Recap

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Christmas party at the Volare Italian Restaurant in Oakbrook Terrace on December 4th. Attendance was a packed house for this event, which made it a very enjoyable evening for all the members.

The live Musical entertainment was something that members will remember for years. New Orleans Beau and the Big East Band gave this years party a very special flavor to bring in the Holiday’s with our industry friends.

This year’s door prizes were a wine basket, rum basket, and vodka basket. Some very nice extras were included in each basket making it a very nice gift. The winners were selected by random from the attendance sign in sheet.

We wish to thank James Monroe Wire & Cable for donating the Tablet, Television, and IPod for this years Christmas raffle to benefit the Elevator and Escalator Safety Foundation. The foundation will receive $830.00 dollars from the raffle, and that will educate over 2,800 children on the safe and proper way to ride elevators and escalators. We also wish to thank all of those who participated in the raffle; your support made this event a success.

February’s meeting Affiliated Fire will be presenting on their elevator fire/smoke detection equipment. Mark your calendars for the next meeting on February 6th 2014.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Chicago Cruise Another Success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Chicago Cruise this year. Not only did we sell out the boat but with the additional Blackhawks Jersey Raffle, compliments of Adams Elevator, we raised some serious money for the foundation. Also congratulations to Glenn Duncan for winning the jersey!

Next year we will be looking for a new boat and we encourage everyone to get their tickets early as we actually had to turn people away. Once again, thank you to the sponsors and to the attendees. It was a blast and we look forward to doing it next year.

Enjoy the photos taken by Dick Gregory, Vertex Corporation.
