Chicago Cruise Date Set: June 29th 2011

Happy Friday everyone! Mark your calendars and get your registration in for the Fifth Annual Chicago Cruise.

As hard as it is to think about warmer weather in the recent winter like temperatures, imagine a warm sunny evening, on a boat overlooking the City of Chicago as the sun sets. Combine that with great company, good food and drinks and it’s enough to warm your spirits.

The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation appreciates the support from everyone who supports this event. This is also a great opportunity for the Midwest elevator market to give back to the EESF and have a great time while doing so.

Mark your calendars, get your registrations and/or sponsorships in and we’ll have another great event.

2011 CEA Educational Seminar Date Set

Same location as last year, Angelo’s in Elmhurst, IL arrive around 7:30 am for coffee. Morning session will run from 8 am to 12 pm. A buffet lunch will be served from 12 pm to 12:45 pm with the afternoon session starting at 1 pm and ending at 5 pm.

City of Chicago Elevator Inspections Chart

We’ve posted in the Members Only area https://cea-online.org/membersonly/ some important information regarding both 3rd Party and City of Chicago Elevator Inspections. 

The published chart that’s available online will be a guide for everyone, both those who apply the Code Data Plates and those who are looking for them during inspections. The chart helps simplify when the elevator was installed and what code applies to the unit. The goal and value of the chart is to establish what code in what time period the elevator is under. It will help everyone in the end and leaves less room for interpretation.
